After over 15+ years of feeling off track, I was fed up with myself.

I'd saved every IG post I'd ever seen on the topic of discipline and yet... I couldn't stick with anything longer than a couple days before the restriction got the best of me, and I gave up on myself yet again.

I felt SO hopeless. And so sick of spending countless hours a day overanalyzing what I just ate - or second-guessing what my next meal would be.

In 2021, when I met my now husband, I said - enough is enough. I couldn't even enjoy dating with the cloud of "being good" haunting me at every meal.

So I started to focus on just fewer things. No more 10-part daily check lists in my Notes app… I focused on a few basics until I realized that I'd been ignoring big rocks for years (like omg does sleep make a difference for me!!) and focusing MUCH too much on the things that didn't make a difference (no sugar and no snacking… which left me with the loudest food noise)

I looked up a few years later, and realized how much easier it was to feel connected to my body, to eat consistently in alignment with my goals, and feel disciplined without feeling suffocated… now that I was focusing on less and letting my busy brain take a deep breath.
